What you should know about
B&B's:
Staying at a Bed and
Breakfast is a wonderful experience for those who enjoy
the special touches, excellent food and exceptional
hospitality of staying in private accommodations instead
of hotels or motels.
With the owners or managers in
residence, guests can be assured of personal attentions
almost 24 hours a day.
However, as it is not a hotel or motel,
guests will be sharing common rooms with others who are
also expecting to enjoy the quiet and comfort of a home.
To insure everyone an enjoyable stay we suggest the following:
- Bed & Breakfasts are generally
non-smoking. Smokers should ask if there are any
designated smoking areas on the
property.
- Bed & Breakfasts are individually
decorated by their owners with quality furniture,
artwork and antiques and are not usually child proof.
Well behaved children are welcome at some B&B's.
If you are traveling with children, check with the
B&B regarding their policy before making a
reservation. Parents are responsible at all times for
the actions of their children.
- Most Bed & Breakfasts do not accept
pets. Those that do may have special policies
regarding size of the pet and rooms pets are welcome
in. Please notify the management at the time of
reservation if you are traveling with a pet. REMEMBER:
Never leave a pet unattended in a strange
place.
- Breakfast is usually "chef's choice" with
a designated serving time each morning. If you have
special dietary considerations, please let the owner
or manager know at the time you make the reservation.
Bed & Breakfast owners try to accommodate special
needs whenever possible if they have time to prepare
for them.
