Air Force Armament Museum

This museum is the only facility in
the world dedicated to the display of Air Force armament. It
tells the history and development of Air Force armament and
instills pride in the role air power has played in the defense
of our country.

National Museum of Naval Aviation

One of the largest and most
beautiful air and space museums in the world. Share in the
excitement of Naval Aviation's rich history. See over 140
beautifully restored military aircraft. These historic and
one-of-a-kind aircraft are displayed both inside the Museum's

Museum's 37-acre grounds.

War Soldiers Museum

The Civil War Soldiers Museum
houses one of the nation's largest displays of Civil War
medical artifacts, as well as the personal artifacts of
Confederate Secretary of the Navy, Stephen R. Mallory. There are hundreds of items used by the common soldier during this
historic period.

Fort Pickens

Constructed by the U.S. Army
Corps of Engineers in 1834 in a effort to fortify Pensacola
Harbor, Fort Pickens is now an historic attraction in the Gulf
Islands National Seashore. The fort was occupied by federal
troops during the Civil War and at one time was a military
prison for Apache medicine man Geronimo.

Fort Barrancas

Completed in 1844 by U.S. Army,
Fort Barrancas includes the restored Water Battery (1797),
originally built by the Spaniards. The 65 acres of land
contain 40 acres of pine and oak forest, historic
fortifications, a picnic area, nature trail and visitor's

Northwest Florida Ballet is a professional
ballet company established in 1969. Guest artists of national
stature perform with the company which presents the
"Nutcracker" in December, a free outdoor concert each May,
hosts the Northwest Florida Dance Festival each June, offers
classes for gifted young dancers, and provides demonstrations

Music
Emerald Coast Chorus
The chorus is a chapter of The Society for
the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet
Singing in America. Including nearly 50 members, the
group performs by request as both a chorus and individual
quartets. An annual show is held in March.

Emerald
Coast Community Band

The band provides an opportunity for all
community members to rehearse and perform together, from the
out-of-practice to the expert. Public band concerts are
given in various parks in the area during the Summer, and two
formal concerts are performed each year. Rehearsals held

Emerald Coast Concert Association
This group was formed in 1960 to bring a
variety of entertainment to the area. Three to five

Fort Walton Beach Community Chorus
The chorus is open to all members of the
community. We invite you to join us for our next production,
either as a member of the chorus or as a member of the
audience. We have two productions every year - one in the
spring and one for Christmas. The performances are held at the
Fort Walton Beach Auditorium on Miracle Strip Pkwy. Rehearsals
are held beginning in February and September for each

North West Florida
Symphony Orchestra & Chorus of OWCC
The NFSO presents a season of five concerts
annually, in addition to annual performances for area fifth
grade students and a concerto competition for students under
25 years of age. The NFSO Chorus presents two or more
